So, I did do 12 out of 14 days of the diet. But didn’t fall off a hundred percent. After the 12 days of NO Sugar, Caffeine, carbs and alcohol I felt great. However, the running and the gym really helped more. The diet helped me run 3 miles in less then 30 minutes, which is the best I’ve done in years. Now the new goal is to keep it up and try in this busy New York Life to run more then 15 miles a week… or at-least 15 miles a week.
Now I did loose about 7 pounds doing this, and that ain’t bad. Mr. belly is still with me but he isn’t such a big beast anymore. Taming the belly, isn’t very easy but takes time. There were many days where I felt like a bear just tried to mate me. A terrible thought and fear that no one should ever have. So what is 7 pounds? In general its nothing and unimportant to the overall feeling that I have. Weight is a strange measurement we use to strive for that Brad Pitt body, well us guys at-least. The girls do have it harder, if they opt for the thin paper-click model body. I believe the reason why models get such a bad rap about intelligence is the brain needs protein and food to properly work. When your starving yourself for attention or just to be in the crowd, your brain cells will go on strike till they get a nice big fat steak.
So, here I am on the brink of a new body as I continue to strive for a true six-pack and loose the gut I have been taxed through my investment of beer, chicken wings and nachos. This is a hard thing to accomplish for anyone and I’m going slow, some say I might be lazy, but the quicker you try the harder you fall back to those chicken wings.
I will grab my V-8 and eggs this morning and probably grab a salad for lunch. The goal is important to keep because in the end all we have is our bodies. While the detox for 12 days was hard, my mind is keeping me away from all the bad things and I’m eating less. If anyone else is thinking about loosing some pounds I just have to say — RUN IT OFF!!!
